Chalice, like her three clutch mates, hatched out with wonky toes (which were all fixed within a couple of days), and all four chicks were quieter than their fellow curlews. Despite her slow start to life Chalice quickly grew and has become a very large curlew with a perfect bill of health.
Chalice spent just a couple of days at her release site at Ken Hill before slowly following the coast down to Terrington, which seems to suit her well as she has remained within the area for the last week.

Chalice continued to stay at Terrington marsh, however unfortunately on the 8/9/23 she was predated.
